I have to say that mine went fairly well.  Got up early and went to church. I started singing in the choir (aka Praise Team) a little before Easter.  I said I wouldn’t be doing the early service.  I am not a lover of getting up early – if God wanted us to appreciate dawn it should come around noon – I have always said that.  Going to early requires that I have to get up at 6:45a.m. and fight the girls for hot water for a shower.  We have two showers.  We have a small hot water heater.  I fight for hot water.

So did early service, then went to Mickey Dees for breakfast – no one does breakfast like they do – ok so Dad Jay makes one mean Gruyere cheese and asparagus omelet thingy – but he isn’t like right next door!!  Came back did late service. Came home, called Momma, and played mindless games on the laptop till the youngest came home from work and we went out to our favorite hole in the wall Mexican restaurant that is about a 30 minute drive away. (Cue hungry, gurgling stomach)
Feasted on a super delicious fajita meal, ate some fresh flan (Mexican custard), and then headed home.

The girls gave me a statue for the bookshelves called “Mother and Daughter” which I have been wanting for awhile.  When I sit here working on my laptop (in my family room/dining room/office) I can see it every time I lift my head up from the monitor.  Someday when we get batteries for the digital camera I may even be able to post a picture of it on here.

After making a few more phone calls, sweet hubby and I headed upstairs with a bowl of hot, buttered popcorn to catch up on all the stuff that we have saved on the DVR.  Sitting through 5 new episodes of one of our favorite shows is the perfect end to a great day.  (Oh yeah, and we had to top it off with a Hershey bar too.)

Guess it is real late as Zo has come in and demanded that we head upstairs for bed.
Take care.
