Tired of Quiet

The only sound in my house right now is the noise of my fan blowing on my laptop. The cat is on a pillow alternating between bathing herself and snoozing; so no meows from her. Sweet hubby is still up in bed and hasn’t come downstairs yet. I have been working on stuff for church, so pretty much have only been making key tapping noises. And even though I am getting super hungry my stomach hasn’t even growled.

I keep looking at all CDs in their towers and then over to the radio/turntable/cassette/CD player and wonder if playing music would bug sweet hubby who is sleeping right above me. (I know if I run the vacuum down here that, that will surely wake him.)

So, it is too quiet in here. My fingers are telling me that it is time to take a break (because typing on your blog isn’t one) and my stomach is telling me that it is time to eat!! My brain is trying to figure out what to have for lunch. Soup and a sandwich?

Whatever I decide I will have to make noise doing it. Just can’t take the quiet anymore!! So it is off to slam some doors and drawers and rattle some pots and pans. Even clank those dishes and glasses to break the monotony of this silence.

Have a wonderful and noise filled afternoon!!

Today was the second day of some beautiful Indian Summer days.  Temp was good for shirt sleeves and the sun felt good.  Of course, not having any manpower to assist me outside I couldn’t do a quick organization of one side of the garage that I have been waiting for this time of year to do.  Hopefully it will be done before we hit cold weather and the start of that nasty white stuff.
I realized just now that I hadn’t written in a couple of days.  My idea was to start writing again every day to every other day – some days I am just plain not into it; some days my brain just does not want to come up with an idea to write about.  And then are some blogs that I read where they are only being written once a week, or only when that person gets access to a computer which could be weeks or over a month or two at a click.  Then I wonder why I beat myself up over it.
Right now, sweet hubby is making his delicious buttered popcorn out in the kitchen and has whipped up a couple of sandwiches so that we can eat our late dinner and watch some of the stuff on the DVR.
Now, I don’t know how many of you have DVRs or somehow record shows to watch later – but we do and then it becomes a battle of computer time vs going upstairs to watch what is taped.  Once up there is it watch our shows or watch that movie we have been dying to see.  And making decisions about it is very hard too.  Ah the dilemma of it all.

Tomorrow is the day for haircuts, a perm and a beard trim and then on Friday there is our family picture being taken.  The first one in about 10yrs.  Wish us luck on that one!
